Sorry if this seems trivial, but am just starting the learning here.

In schemas for nodes/edges, is there any way to mark elements as mandatory or optional?

Unfortunately, no.

Thanks for this and other replies. Pertaining to another mail regarding feature requests, I’ll add these to the issues section on Github. I’ll flesh out my thoughts on these more fully before that.
