# Spinning free Backends taking ages?

Hello

I created today a free backend. I’m 2 hours in, but the endpoint is not usable. unable to connect, retrying…

(Server is eu-central)

Can you help ?

Its concerning also the shared instances ($39.9/month) us-east-1  
Fixing this will give us a good experience with dGraph. So please report it to the team to help us.

Updates:

> The backend in us-central-1 seems healthy at this moment.

> For us-east-1 I could see that newly created shared backend does not come up healthy. The system was restarted and it is working right now.
