Dgraph storage doubled in less than 24 hours

Hi everyone,

We have a huge database on dgraph with millions of nodes. We recently migrated from v1.2.5 to v20.11.0. We have 3 zeros and 3 alphas setup on kubernetes. Dgraph was taking around 9.5GB for each alpha pod.

Just after three days of migration, dgraph alpha pods suddenly jumped from 9.5GB to 20GB.

Is this normal? because we did not experience any sudden user traffic.

Would appreciate any help in this regard.

Thanks and Regards

@MichelDiz @zhenni Any thoughts on this?

Well, in a new cluster env it creates some tmp files that with time it will be erased. It also could be additional indexations you might have added. Also, the two versions are tremendously different.
