Understand the context in Grafana Dashboard better

What I Did

Followed the steps from the Documentation: Monitoring - Deploy

I don’t really understand what the first and the second fields are for…the documentation says that

 Value is 1 when the Alpha node is ready to accept requests; otherwise 0.

then why are there two fields?
are there metrics for zero as well?
and why does my first Gauge say that there’s 0B in use (I’m assuming this is related to zero)?
