Dgraph auto increment id's or xid fields

I would like to know if Dgraph supports an auto-increment feature for id’s or xid’s? If so can you suggest how we can do it?

How do you plan to use it?
Do you have an example use?
Would this be outside the Alpha and Zero context? (Dgraph itsefl)

I believe that from what little I understood what you said, we have nothing similar to it.
