Steps to reproduce the issue (command/config used to run Dgraph).

Not sure how to reproduce. But in his case, he had a bool type and for some reason, Dgraph exported an empty string. How we can reproduce this is hard to tell.

Expected behaviour and actual result.

No bugs when exporting from Dgraph.
