Turn off mailing list and activity summary emails by default in this forum

I signed up to this forum to discuss things and ask questions.

Next thing you know I’m getting a daily email from all of the topics on here.

I had to spend time to find the right settings to disable.

Wish someone would disable the automatic mailing list mode at least for new signups.

Who wants emails of topics and things pushed at them anymore? Not me…

We turned on mailing list mode by default a while back because we found that some folks were not receiving notifications. If this default setting isn’t wanted by the community we can turn it off.
